ActiVHeat MOTO12 Heated Glove Liners
Operating Instructions
Thank you for your purchase of the ActiVHeat
MOTO12 Heated Glove Liners. These
liners were designed by ActiVHeat to fit comfortably beneath an outer riding
glove and provide pleasant, comfortable heat when used properly. Ideal for use
on snowmobiles, ATV's and motorcycles in severe cold riding conditions.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS:
1. DON’T
REMOVE GLOVE LINER WITHOUT FIRST OPENING VELCRO CLOSURE.
2. To avoid internal damage, remove glove liner by
gently pulling on each of 4 fingers about an inch, then grabbing all 4 fingers
and pulling off the glove liner completely.
3. These liners get HOT and MUST be used with a heat controlling
device and NEVER be directly connected to a vehicle or using an on/off
switch.
Connecting glove
liners with a single controller:
If you are using your glove liners
without a heated jacket liner, you will need to connect your gloves to the
vehicle's battery. To do this, you will need to connect and install the
direct-to-battery harness to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the
battery. This cable is provided with all of ActiVHeat's
Controllers. See installation instructions for the harness for more
information.
1. You will then need to bring the power to the
gloves through the use of the included adjustable tensioning lanyard. This
lanyard needs to be run on the inside of your outer jacket and be connected to
each glove liner. Never use the electrical lanyard externally to an outerjacket,
they are only designed to be run internally under an outer jacket.
2. Once the lanyard lead is run down the jacket
sleeves, connect the gloves to the plugs and connect the other end of the lanyard
cable to the controller.
3. Slip on your outer glove and begin with a
medium heat level setting, adjusting the temperature as desired.
Connecting glove
liners through a jacket liner:
These liners are also designed to be
connected to many heated jacket liner sleeve leads. Follow the manufacturer’s
requirements for connecting gloves to a heated jacket liner and ensure you are
using a suitable heat controller. Never operate a heated jacket liner and heated
glove liners without a variably adjustable controller. Slip on your outer glove
and begin with a medium heat setting, adjusting the temperature as required.
This installation is ideal for operation in winter months while riding on
snowmobiles, ATV's, and motorcycles.
Usage and Care
Instructions
Your glove liners are hand washable
with a mild detergent. Rinse and hang dry. Do not wring excess water as this
can damage the liner. Do not dry in clothes dryer. Do not dry clean.
